Also called the Monito Del Monte, the little mountain monkey is from South America and is not really a monkey, but rather a very small marsupial. Other members of the marsupial family include kangaroos, wallabies, and koala bears. Adults grow to only 10 inches long and weigh up to 1.7 ounces. The Monito Del Monte is considered to be the rarest animal on earth.
