EEC Overview
Earth's Endangered Creatures lists endangered plants and animals of the world that are threatened with extinction.
It is split into 11 parts--seven of which
are the seven continents of our planet and also an Oceanic, Middle East, and Central America category.
Hawaii is the endangered species
capital of the world and has been individually categorized. Be sure and visit this section as well when
searching for North American
endangered species.
Disclaimer
Because many different governments and agencies keep different endangered species lists, there is not one official endangered species list,
but many. EEC has chosen a select list of official lists, listing creatures with certain list-specific statuses (i.e. endangered (FWS),
critically endangered (IUCN), etc.) Below is a complete list of endangered species lists that we monitor. If
there is an official endangered species list that you feel we should include, feel free to contact us, providing the name of the endangered species list and the agency/organization that maintains it:
US Fish & Wildlife List of Endangered Species (US FWS)
-Endangered (EN-US FWS)
IUCN Red List of Endangered Species (IUCN)
-Critically Endangered (CR-IUCN)
-Endangered (EN-IUCN)
-Extinct in the Wild (EW-IUCN)
-Vulnerable (VU-IUCN)
-Near Threatened (NT-IUCN)
Though species profiles and accounts are edited for accuracy, it is not guaranteed that all information provided in these profiles are 100% accurate. Wherever possible EEC provides references to books and websites believed to be reputable, but cannot guarantee that all information is current.

Google Advertisements/Ads About Hunting
Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this web site. These advertisements are many times based on the content of the pages--so that ads can be displayed related to the subject matter. Therefore, Google advertisements displayed on this site are automated, and unfortunately, we have no way of knowing which ads will be displayed until after they are rendered on our pages. We can only block ads that may be inappropriate after we have been alerted that they are in the ad line-up. We have been contacted at times about ads that
encourage the hunting and killing of animals, and have taken steps to have these ads removed. Since many of our pages may contain words such as "This creature is endangered due to
hunting...", the Google ad spider may read the word "hunting" on our pages and then display ads for businesses encouraging or providing tools for the hunting of animals. Please note that there are hundreds of pages on this site, and if we are not alerted, these ads could go unnoticed by us for a time. We do not claim responsibility if you are offended by these ads, and you are encouraged to either ignore them or contact us through our contact form providing the address to the web site so that we can have it removed.
